Jab Derailleur Cam Options

The Jab derailleur is compatible with many modern 1x drivetrains!

How is this possible? Along with the other options, there is a unique cable cam (shown below in red) for each 1x drivetrain type. The cam controls the motion of the derailleur for each individual shift, matching the shifter index points to the cassette gear spacing.

Cam List
You will need to select the right cam for your drivetrain based on the table below.

We prioritize cams for the most common drivetrains, which means SRAM and Shimano 12 and 11 speed MTB and gravel bike configurations.

For less common drivetrains we also plan to release cams, but the release will be delayed because developing each cam involved a lengthy measurement and tuning process, as well as a component manufacturing lead time and minimum order quantity.

Note: The cam and derailleur cannot influence all shift performance factors. Other major factors include cassette shift ramps, the shifter mechanism internals, drivetrain wear and cleanliness, and adjustment issues.

Barrel Adjusters

If you select a cam for a drop shifter (gravel/road bike shifter), your Jab will come with a barrel adjuster. MTB shifters have the barrel adjuster built in, so one is not needed on the derailleur. But drop shifters (found on gravel and road bikes) do not have barrel adjusters, so the derailleur needs one.

The Jab also has 2 angles to route the cable housing. There are 2 indexing positions for the routing of the cable housing. This ensures that there will be a clean cable route to the derailleur whether the cable is routed along the chainstay or seatstay on a wide variety of frames.
