Kogel makes high quality bearings specifically for high end bicycles. Their bearings are specifically developed to meet the needs of cyclists looking for the absolute best life and efficiency.

The bearings in these pulleys have these characteristics:

  1. Hybrid ceramic construction: Hardened steel races and ceramic balls, made to high precision tolerances. They are extremely efficient.
  2. Double lip seals specifically designed for mountain biking and cyclocross. The double lip seals keep the environment out of the bearing, and keep the grease in.
  3. Low friction grease for the best efficiency and bearing life.
  4. Grade 3 tolerances for the best efficiency without having extreme costs.
  5. ABEC 5 race hardness for the best balance of durability and hardness/efficiency.

The pulleys are CNC machined aluminum, and have 14 teeth for the upper and lower pulleys. Note: This means you will need to set your B gap without the SRAM guage because the Kogel upper pulley has 14 teeth, not 12 like SRAM.

Compatibility: These pulleys fit the Madrone cages. Both pulleys have 5mm fasteners, and 7.8mm width. They will not fit SRAM cages (which have a 6mm hole on the upper/inner dust shield). Not to worry if you want to use these on your SRAM cage - you can get all the options directly from Kogel here.
