Test Riders
First and foremost, our riders are all awesome and unique people! They all hail from Ashland other than Janky Eric, who is an honorary resident. Across these riders, there is a wide range of riding styles, drivetrains, and expectations of their equipment. They all ride and race regularly and are active in the community. They all push the Jab derailleur to the limits daily, and are integral with our product development.

Aaron Bailey
Lead Madrone test rider. Pro enduro racer & 2025 USA Cycling Men’s Collegiate Downhill National Champion!
Janky Eric
Ambassador and test rider. Pro enduro racer, content creator, and founder of Jank Components.
Josh Kahn
Pro MTB racer, coach, and trail builder. Developed the DH Jab, and moonlights at the Madrone workshop.
Samantha Botts
Samantha loves big air, namely Whistler's A-Line. She's a regular on the podium at NW Cups, Sea Otter, and NICA XC.
Aubrey Botts
Aubrey loves DH. She's racking up podiums all over the west coast, including NW Cup, Sea Otter, and Kidsworx at Whistler.

Ashland culture rep! Test rider & mechanic. Positive vibes. 7 time winner of the Sea Otter Classic DH hardtail race.
