Clutch break in period For all derailleurs shipped before December 16th 2025, the clutch has initial break in period while the wear parts bed in.

Add shims as per the clutch adjustment guide. After initial break in period, the issue will be resolved.

All derailleurs shipped after December16th 2025 are burnished on the assembly line, eliminating the break in period.
2 clutch types

As of October 2025, there are 2 clutch types.

All MTB derailleurs are built with the MTB clutch, and all gravel derailleurs are built with the gravel clutch.

The 2 clutch types are explained here.

Any Jab derailleur clutch can be converted to the other type.
Ball bearing linkage pivots

 

All derailleurs shipped after January 8th 2026 are built ball bearing pivots.

This improves shift quality, especially after months of riding in dusty conditions.

 

Update Jabs with bushings to the ball bearing link kit.
