Plastic Cover Issues

Clutch Cover

Issues we've seen:

  • Cracked / broken / missing
    • Fix: Remove completely (the part is only cosmetic, not functional), or replace the part. Alternatively, you can remove a cracked cover, and use strong/thin tape on the inside surface to hold it together.
  • Out of position
    • Fix: make sure the 3 attachment features are in place. There is 1 small screw, 1 piece of tape, and a small tab that slides into a slot on the clutch housing.
  • Rubs on outer link
    • Fix: Make sure the cover is positioned correctly. Alternatively, trim the corners of the cover if the issue persists. This article from NSMB covers the issue in more detail.
