New Super Shims

Updated and improved for 2025. We improved the way the small o-ring holds the plate on, and they now fit a wider range of SRAM derailleurs!

Eliminate the play from your derailleur mounting bolt and immediately improve your shifting! This product is a great bang for your buck!

The Super Shims use the existing SRAM mounting bolt and add compression force to the assembly. This removes the wiggle, while still allowing the derailleur to pivot about the bolt, but with more friction for less chain noise.

You can also source these parts yourself from a hardware supplier of your choice. Just make sure to stick to the specs below.

The kit includes:

• 2 small o-rings (only 1 is needed): 1mm thickness, 8.5mm ID, 10.5mm OD., 90 Shore A durometer.
  
• 1 large o-ring: 1.5mm thickness, 13mm ID, 16mm OD, 90 Shore A durometer.
  
• 1 stainless steel wave spring: 0.3mm thickness, ~10.5mm ID, ~15mm OD.
• 1 internal tooth star washer: 9mm tooth ID, 14mm OD, black phosphate coated spring steel. 

Compatibility:

SRAM has 2 mounting bolt configurations for these derailleurs. The Super Shims work for both, but not all parts are used. Watch the installation video to show how to install them on each type. 

Configuration A:

• SRAM 12 speed Eagle AXS: GX, X01, XX1
• SRAM 12 speed Eagle mechanical: X01, XX1

Configuration B:

• SRAM 12 speed Eagle mechanical: GX
• SRAM 11 speed MTB: GX, X01, XX1
• SRAM 11 speed road: Force
