Intl. Shipping
Madrone Cycles is located in the United States in the State of Oregon. We are continuously expanding which countries we ship to, and they are maintained on this page. We use Shopify Managed Markets, which helps customers and us with international shipments. It shows the taxes and duties up front, and offers various protection features for both parties.
Address issues
Please make sure you enter a complete and correct shipping address. It is frustrating for all people involved when a shipment gets stuck due to address issues. Check for spelling issues, auto-populate fields, north/south/east/west street issues, and missing apartment numbers. Our system will generate shipping labels for the exact shipping address you enter when checking out.
Taxes and duties
The customs values use the prices from the website, and depending on each country, there will be various taxes and duties. For some countries, our Shopify site will present these during the checkout process so there are no surprises. However, for others, it is not supported, meaning that taxes and duties could come up during the import process. Lastly, some countries (such as many EU countries, UK, Australia, and New Zealand) require DDP shipping, which means Madrone covers these costs.
Carriers
We ship internationally using UPS and sometimes FedEx or DHL. We will not ship through the postal service (other than to Canada) because it is now always reliable.
Shipping costs
We charge flat rates for international shipping for each order. The cost of international shipping is $35 to $50 USD for most countries (except Canada which is around $30 USD). The cost is based on shipping costs for 1 link kit. Thus if you order 2 products, you are effectively getting a discount on shipping.
Shipping time
Most international shipments arrive in under 1 week, but could take up to 2 weeks. Customs clearance can result in unpredictable delays.
Small value orders
You will not be able to check out for international orders of less than $40 USD of products. The reason is due to the high cost of international shipping. For example, it does not make sense for small orders for super shims. We post all the specs of super shims on the product page so anyone could source the items directly for a better cost. Of course, we will ship super shims when combined with other items such as links.

Checkout issues
If you are checking out and you've put your address in and our Shopify site does not allow you to check out, that means we are not shipping to your country yet.
