Clutch break in period Clutch friction reduces after initial use. Clutch has initial break in period while the wear parts bed in. Add shims as per the clutch adjustment guide. After initial break in period, the issue will be resolved.
2 clutch types N/A As of October 2025, there are 2 clutch types. One is for MTB derailleurs, and one is for gravel derailleurs.

Any Jab derailleur clutch can be converted to the other type.
Friction in linkage pivot bushings Inconsistent shift quality. Difficulty moving to smaller cogs.

Grit has worked into the pivot bushings, causing friction.

Prevention: Do not spray pressurized on the derailleur.

 Brush off grit around all 8 pivot bushings with a toothbrush. Drip light oil into the bushings and wipe off excess oil. If problem persists, rebuild pivots with new bushings.
