These cages are durable and stiff, using the 6061-T6 aluminum in the right places and fasteners that join the 2 cage plates.
The Madrone cage (without pulleys) weighs 57g. For reference, SRAM SRAM GX AXS weighs 117g and X01 AXS weighs 58g.
A unique feature of our cage is the front profile, which prevents sticks and debris from getting caught in the lower pulley.
Compatibility:
For SRAM 1x drivetrains, with cassette capacity up to 52T maximum.
- 12 speed SRAM AXS Eagle: GX, X01, and XX1
- 12 speed SRAM cable actuated: GX, X01, and XX1
- 11 speed SRAM cable actuated: GX, X01, XX1, and Force
- Not compatible with T-Type.
Note: These cages are designed for a 12T upper pulley and 14T lower pulley, which matches the SRAM 12 speed MTB pulleys. This configuration will prevent you from needing to change your chain length when you install the cage. You can run a 14T upper and 14T lower, but there is a chance your chain will need to be longer.
If you are installing the cage on an 11 speed SRAM derailleur, you will definitely need a longer chain, because the 11 speed cages (for both MTB and road) are shorter because they do not have the same cassette capacity.
